SoSLUG is the only Linux User Group (LUG) in the country running weekly meetings since March 2003. If you know any different please let us know!

We meet every Thursday at the MediaShed from 8pm until very late (this has on occasion been up until 3am). This hasn't changed since we started and we have a great space at our disposal and we endeavor to use every section of it.

We can accommodate you and your PC or laptop should you wish to bring it. Just bring your box as we have lots of monitors, keyboards and mice for you to use.

As a group of enthusiastic and committed Linux enthusiasts, we are prepared to share our knowledge to everyone by running workshops and other non-formal training methods. Our primary objective is to champion individuals who through their own efforts construct application software that is a viable alternative to mainstream software bought off the shelf.

We are located at the MediaShed in the Southend Grainger Road Industrial Estate, which is a short walk from both the Victoria and Prittlewell Train Stations.
